Missing In Action

I’m pretty sure some you are thinking that I’m a real slacker when it comes to keeping this website updated or even to writing blogs. Trust me when I say that that is not the case.

As most of you that reside in Britain will know we have been experiencing a heat wave not seen since around 2006.

“So? What is your point?” You ask.

Well, I’m a refrigeration engineer during the day, as my full time job and it just so happens that summer is our busiest period.

So I’m averaging 10 – 12 hour days and every 4th week I am on call out engineer. What that means is that I am available to be called out and work for a full 24 hours a day, all week long.

As it so happens, I am on my duty shift from 5pm tonight until Friday 8am. I work a normal standard days work and then go home waiting for the work phone to ring and potentially to be called out to some or other refrigeration emergency anywhere in the South East of the Uk.

“That’s not too bad. Think of the money!” Is what most people say.

And to that, my response is usually; “Most of the time the money isn’t worth the stress and anxiety of potentially being called out. And I would much rather be given the option to opt in or out of having to do it. Not being forced into it.”

Anyway, moan moan moan… That’s what I’m good at. Hahaha…

In other more photographic news, I had my first model photo shoot yesterday, since February earlier in the year. And wow… What a session it was. The model, Jodie, was spectacular to shoot. We got some great nude art photos and I’m looking forward to getting down to the editing process.

I have also been doing my fair share of learning about using Adobe Lightroom 4. Wow… What a program. There should be some tutorials coming soon with regards to that. But really enjoying it at the moment.

So… Now work must continue. Just thought I would have a little rant and write a little Hello while on my lunch break.
